Her feral mum (we called her "Yum-Yum" ^^) had been bringing her and her siblings to our driveway regularly to feed ever since they were little babies.

We trapped her (but could never get her mum) when she was about 7 months old, brought her to the vet to be neutered, and then released her to the same neighbourhood after 5 days of convalescence. Her two same-litter siblings never made it to adulthood. Yum-Yum brought another kitten some months later, but that one didn't make it either. Yum-Yum herself stopped showing up at meal times after several months. Life on the streets is full of danger.

We have been feeding her daily since then, but has never succeeded in getting close to her nor in petting/stroking her.
She comes for her meals 2 or 3 times daily, and likes to sit on our gatepost at night.

Doesn't she look like an ornamental statue? ^^
