In Memoriam : Lazy Sunny Morning

Update: August 2011

We don't know how much longer she has.

X-rays taken in May this year show that her lungs are no good. She had on-and-off chronic respiratory infections for many years, and maybe that's why her lung tissues appear to have major scarring. She had been having problem breathing recently ... in fact, she goes blue-in-the-tongue every time she exerts herself, and even just walking from one place to another gets her breathing hard.

But guess what? That doesn't stop her gungho attitude! She stills like going out to the garden, and moving from one fave spot to another in the house! We try as far as possible to preempt her by anticipating her next destination and carrying her there in our arms.

We are grateful for each good day that she gets, and all we can do is make her as comfortable as possible, spending as much quality time with her as possible. Thankfully, she still enjoys food-treats, the garden, and loving attention.

My heart hurts just thinking about life without her.

Update: 27 January 2012

Yesterday, Braveheart couldn't sleep nor eat because of her breathing difficulty. This morning, we brought her in to the vet's to be put to sleep ... she is now free of suffering.

DIED: 27 JANUARY 2012. AGE: 16 YEARS 6/7 MONTHS.

Exactly 3 years since she's gone; still missing her like crazy.
But we have the lovely memories she made ... and there are sooooo many of those! ^^
